About Me:

Welcome to an exciting new school year! I greatly enjoy working with students and helping each of them prepare for their future careers in the medical field. I have taught with the Health/ Medical Science, Nurse Aide, & Practical Nursing Programs during my 6 years teaching here at Susie G. Gibson Science & Technology Center (formerly Bedford Science & Technology Center). This year I am teaching the Introduction to Health & Medical Sciences course virtually and am looking forward to an awesome year!

I grew up in Bedford County and began pursuing my nursing career after graduating from Timberlake Christian School. After graduating with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2010, I began my nursing career as an ICU nurse at LGH. My career as a Registered Nurse over the past 11 years has primarily been ICU nursing with about 2 years working in OB/PEDS. In addition to teaching the past 6 years, I also worked as an ICU Nurse at Bedford Memorial Hospital until Spring of this year. I have been married to my wonderful husband for five years now. We have two amazing children and a furbaby beagle. I greatly enjoy teaching and have a strong passion for the Healthcare & Medical fields.
